We are delighted to announce that Burgess Hodgson has acquired Wandsworth Consulting, a specialist capital allowances and R&D tax relief practice.
In the summer, we partnered with Abry Partners to accelerate our growth and bring deeper specialist expertise into the firm. This acquisition is the first expression of that ambition in practice.
Wandsworth Consulting has spent ten years building a strong reputation in capital allowances and R&D tax credits, two areas of specialist tax relief.
Their leadership brings more than 70 years of combined experience, with senior roles held previously at Big Four firms, leading boutique tax specialists and international real estate practices.
For our clients across the South East, London, and the wider UK, this means direct access to that specialist expertise.
We are delighted to welcome the Wandsworth Consulting team to the firm.

Patrick joined BH as a Partner in 2026, bringing a wealth of experience from leading boutique tax firms and international surveying practices. He specialises in capital allowances, advising some of the UK’s largest property companies on fit‑out, refurbishment and new‑build projects across all sectors. Patrick’s deep technical expertise, combined with in‑house real estate experience, delivers practical and tangible value for clients.

Jonny joined BH in 2026, bringing over 15 years’ experience in tax reliefs and a strong specialism in R&D. A Chartered Tax Advisor with a background in science and computational modelling, he advises businesses on complex R&D tax relief claims. Jonny spent a decade in the Big Four supporting large multinational groups, before working closely with start‑up and scale‑up businesses, delivering practical, commercially focused advice.

With extensive experience across the property sector, Justin joined BH in 2026. A Chartered Surveyor who is also tax qualified, he previously led one of the Big Four’s Real Estate Capital Allowances teams. Justin advises a broad range of clients, from institutional investment funds to private investors, with particular strength in providing practical, transaction‑focused advice. He has also worked with FTSE 100 companies to enhance capital allowances processes, delivering efficiencies in both time and cost.
