Marketing Assistant

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time marketing assistant to join our busy team in Canterbury.  

Working with the Head of Marketing, the role involves carrying out existing marketing initiatives as well as assisting with developing new ideas. 

The Role:

Activities include: 

  • Help organising and running events
  • Preparing literature
  • Arranging and creating advertisements (Indesign)
  • Maintaining and updating the firm’s website (using WordPress)
  • Support in running the firm’s social media campaigns

The Candidate:

The right candidate will have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Good organisational, time management and project management skills 
  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure 
  • Strong technical skill, especially across social media platforms (content and analysis), design software (Adobe InDesign, photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign) and Microsoft Office applications  
  • Creativity and a good creative eye 
  • A can-do attitude 
  • Demonstrate an ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Suitable degree background 
  • Experience of digital and social media marketing, especially Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube 

Applicants must be able to work on their own initiative and should be highly organised, personable and have a good eye for detail. You will be patient and able to adapt quickly to change, whilst having an energetic approach.  

 

The hours for this position are 9am – 5:30pm Monday – Friday, however there will be occasional additional hours, so the chosen candidate must be flexible. 

 

Candidates must be able to evidence their right to work in the UK.  

 

The salary for this position will be dependent on qualifications and previous experience.
