Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager

About the role

We’re looking for an ambitious and solutions-driven individual to join our Accounts and Audit team as an Assistant Manager. You’ll work directly with a broad range of clients, as well as Partners and senior leadership, helping to deliver high-quality audits and accounts across a growing portfolio.

This is a role where you’ll be trusted to take ownership, lead client meetings, and mentor junior team members, while being fully supported by a collaborative team around you. With a mix of audit and non-audit work, you’ll enjoy variety, challenge and plenty of opportunity to make your mark

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for people who think ahead, speak up, and get stuck in. People with a growth mindset, who are ready to challenge themselves and keep moving forward.

You’ll be someone who brings energy and attention to detail, who works well with others and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll aim to solve, not just deliver — thinking commercially, practically and creatively to get to the heart of the problem.

We succeed together, so strong communication and a team-first attitude are key. Whether you’re working with clients or colleagues, you’ll build relationships that drive real impact.

You’ll have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confidence juggling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
  • Good working knowledge of Excel

What we can offer

  • Competitive salary
  • 31 days’ holiday (including Bank Holidays) plus 2 extra days at Christmas
  • Enhanced holiday scheme (qualifying criteria)
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme (qualifying criteria)
  • Annual performance reviews
  • Christmas bonus
  • Staff recruitment and client introduction bonuses
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Eye test vouchers and annual flu jab
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Mentoring support
  • A genuinely supportive, growth-minded culture
  • Friendly, collaborative team
  • Opportunities for career growth and progression
  • A diverse and valued client base
  • Early client interaction and partner exposure
  • Internal training and professional updates
  • Local discount and gym card
  • Team sports and charity events
