I originally studied Chemistry at the University of Leeds. I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992 and was advanced to Fellowship in 2003. I am a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Statutory Auditor. I am a member of the Academy of Experts. My main focus is on the financial management, governance and taxation aspects of businesses, particularly in the SME sector where ownership and management goals are closely aligned. I have experience in a wide range of sectors. I am frequently instructed as an expert with regards to the accounting and tax aspects of businesses and have given evidence under cross examination in the criminal and civil courts.
