James joined Burgess Hodgson in April 2018, qualifying as a Chartered Tax Adviser in November 2019. He was made an Associate in March 2023.

James manages a wide portfolio of clients, and his expertise covers various taxes such as Research and Development tax relief, Inheritance Tax and Trusts, the Taxation of Cryptoassets and residence / non-domicile issues. James has also dealt with various HMRC enquiries on behalf of our clients.

Outside of the office, James is an avid concert goer, curry enthusiast and keen runner (injury permitting).
