Fiona’s expertise is in direct tax, particularly income tax, capital gains tax and corporation tax. She has a diverse portfolio of clients from high net worth individuals to owner-managed businesses.
Fiona is particularly interested in the tax implications of residency, with a number of non UK resident or non UK domiciled clients. She also specialises in share schemes, such as the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and Enterprise Management Incentive Scheme (EMI) from both the point of view of individuals and companies.
Fiona graduated from Manchester University with a degree in Economics before becoming a Chartered Tax Adviser. She returned to Kent and began her work with Burgess Hodgson in 2010, becoming an Associate in 2014 and made Partner in 2020.
Fiona lives with her husband and young son and daughter. When she is not being a rocket or a tunnel for a train, Fiona enjoys running, having completed several marathons. Her dream is to become a Six Star Finisher by running all six of the Marathon Majors.
