Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a full-time Accounts and Audit Assistant Manager to join our busy accounts department in Canterbury.

The Role:

Working directly with Clients, Partners, and Management the role is to support in the delivery of accounts and audit work across the Firm, adhering to guidelines and standards, within timeframes and budgets required.

The client portfolio is ever growing and consists of a large spectrum of industry size and location. A large proportion of audits are local to Canterbury.

You will be given the opportunity to work autonomous with clients as well as closely supported by Partners and senior staff.

The role consists of:-

  • Managing statutory, client account audits and similar.
  • Managing significant non-audit clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing accounts and tax computations
  • Prepare and host pre and post audit meetings with clients and internally
  • Arrange and conduct client meetings in respect of presentation of final accounts
  • Assist in the management of a team of trainee accountants assisting you

The Candidate:

The successful candidate should:

  • Be ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Have the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Have a high standard of spoken and written English.
  • Possess good computer skills, particularly Excel.
  • Have excellent organisation skills with an eye for detail.
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage several projects at once.
